Lincoln 2011

Our first proper holiday with my parents was my and my two kids in a caravan in Woodthorpe Hall Caravan Park Lincoln.  Unfortunately my hubby had to work so I took the kids to see their Nana and Grandad.

We had a great few days and it was a real pleasure to be with my Mam and Dad on holiday in a caravan with my kids just like when we were kids.  We went to Skegness where we went when we were kids and Mablethorpe and just enjoyed being together relaxing.  It was wonderful.  Memories I will never forget.

Holly's Farm Yard Model

When Holly was in Reception Year at Valentine Infant School her topic was Down on the Farm and the family project was to make anything to do with farm yeard, animals, colourings, pictures, etc.  I decided to make an actual farm yard model.

Grandad Evans taught us to make paper machie houses when we were kids so I worked on that idea and started with an empty box which we painted to make the barn.  It didn't look right so I made a gable roof and painted that - it was coming together.

I used the empty box from a packet of paint pens Holly had because it had a slight lip all the way round and I made a picket fence from lolly sticks.  THe kids loved painting the barn, fence and yard.  We used a toy tractor which I bought in the 99p shop and some toy farm yard animals.  Everything had to be glued into place.

I bought foam for the pond and a bag of pebbles and used Easter decorating materials for the moss and ducks.

Paultons Park Seaon Ticket

We bought season tickets for Paultons Park.  Holly and I needed a ticket but because Liam was under 1 meter tall he gets in free.  This month Peppa Pig World opened for the first time and we went to see it.  Its amazing.  It's so cleverly done and beautiful to see.  It's like stepping into the TV.

As you approach Peppa Pig world through the original part of Paultons Park this is what you see - the Hot Air Balloon ride. One of my favourite rides is the boats.

We had a fantastic summer at Paultons Park.  It became my special place for me and my kids.  We used our season tickets about 22 times over the first year and its been so worth the money and I really hope to renew it in April 2012.  No two visits have ever been the same and we have not been bored of it.  The kids love the rides and playgrounds and the outdoor space and I love being with them and seeing their faces as they enjoy themselves.
